Sporting director Tim Steidten has confirmed offers from the Premier League amid interest from Tottenham.

Steidten is work of out after leaving Bayer Leverkusen and, Standard Sport understands, is in the running to become Fabio Paratici's successor at Spurs.

The 44-year-old is open to a move to England along with remaining in Germany, but says opportunities in the Premier League appeal more.

“Germany and England are definitely the two leagues that interest me the most,” he said.

“There are already offers, including from the Premier League. Honestly there’s not that many clubs in the Bundesliga that appeal to me and where I am needed right now.”

Other names linked to the Spurs vacancy include Brentford’s Lee Dykes and Roma’s Tiago Pinto. Johannes Spors, who has been linked with the job, is understood to not be a contender.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is hoping to finalise an appointment soon, with a new manager to then follow.
