With focus of the European market firmly focussed on goalkeepers this summer, a transfer domino effect could seriously test Tottenham’s resolve to keep hold of Hugo Lloris.

The France captain is tipped by many to be the ideal replacement for David de Gea should the Manchester United goalkeeper complete his expected return to La liga.

Real Madrid, hopeful of signing De Gea, could in turn change their attentions to the Spurs man if they fail to bring the United stop back to the Spanish captital. But can Tottenham keep hold of their prized goalkeeper?

As Standard Sport’s Tom Collomosse explains in the video below, Tottenham are refusing to entertain offers for the 28-year-old.

But with Lloris yet to commit hit future to the club, a bid of around £25 million could test their resolve to keep him.
