Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga has been handed his first call-up to Aidy Boothroyd's England Under-21s squad for Euro qualifiers against Andorra and Turkey.

The 21-year-old missed the start of the season through injury but has been deemed fit to link up with the Young Lions after featuring against Chelsea this week. He will be joined by Spurs teammate Ryan Sessegnon, as well as Oliver Skipp - on loan at Norwich from north London - and Chelsea duo Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James.

Former Chelsea youngster Tariq Lamptey, who has enjoyed a stellar start to the season with Brighton, is also named in the squad, which boasts four right-backs.

Liverpool's Curtis Jones is also handed his first call-up to U21s level, while Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze is included once more having had to withdraw from last month's camp after sustaining a groin injury.

Boothroyd's side will seal their place in next year's U21s Euros, qualifying top of their group, if they take at least four points from the next two games.
