Tottenham: Ange Postecoglou issues Tanguy Ndombele and Heung-min Son fitness update

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed the injury that kept Tanguy Ndombele out of Tottenham’s pre-season friendly defeat to West Ham is “nothing serious”.

Ndombele missed Tuesday’s 3-2 loss in Perth after suffering a knock to his ankle in training.

Heung-min Son was also absent from the Spurs squad for the West Ham game. Son, Eric Dier, Djed Spence and Joe Rodon are getting closer to full fitness.

Speaking after his first game as Spurs head coach, Postecoglou said: “Tanguy got a knock in training yesterday on his ankle. Nothing serious, it kept him out today.

“Sonny has only done two sessions since he arrived with us. We made the decision not to use him tonight. He worked hard in training today, him and Eric Dier, Djed Spence and Joe Rodon.

“They are guys that came in late and hopefully they'll be ready to play a part in the next two games.”

Spurs are next in action on Sunday when they play Leicester in Thailand.
