Frustrated: Pochettino questioned the first penalty and Fazio's dismissal

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino felt his side were on the wrong end of a few debatable decisions from referee Jon Moss at the Etihad Stadium.

Moss dished out four penalties in City's 4-1 victory, and the Spurs boss felt the first spot-kick award was "ridiculous" - but took positives from the fact his team were in contention until the latter stages.

"For me, it was ridiculous, but we have to accept the decision," he said of the 20th-minute spot-kick award, which came after Frank Lampard went down under the challenge of Erik Lamela.

Spurs remained in the contest at 2-1 down until the 68th minute, when Fazio was dismissed for pulling back compatriot Aguero inside the box.

Aguero dusted himself down and completed his hat-trick to put City three two goals clear but Pochettino felt the official's decision was again harsh, adding: "My feeling was that it's not a red card. A lot of things happened today in the game. It's difficult to analyse.

"We have to take some positives. We were always in the match. We were always believing it was possible to get a point, but after the penalty (making it 3-1) and the red card it was difficult."
