Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is open to facing Fiorentina in the Europa League for a third successive season.

Spurs sealed their place in the last 32 of Europe's secondary competition last night courtesy of a 3-1 victory over CSKA Moscow at Wembley.

The north Londoners are set to learn their next opponents when the draw takes place in Nyon on Monday afternoon.

Spurs have come up against Fiorentina at the last 32 stage in the past two seasons, with mixed success.

La Viola dumped their Premier League counterparts out during the 20114/15 campaign but Spurs progressed to the last 16 at the Italian side's expense last term.

And Pochettino is not adverse to a third encounter against Paulo Sousa's side as he attempts to guide his side towards the latter stages of the tournament.

"Why not play again? Florence is a fantastic city, an unbelievable city, good memories there," Pochettino said.

"Why not play there again?

"We are pleased because it was important to change our feeling at Wembley and we will see what happens in the draw."

Spurs will be one of 16 seeded teams in Monday's draw and could yet avoid a potential tie with Fiorentina.

The Serie A side currently lead their group and will also be seeded if they retain top spot by securing a positive result against FK Qarabag tonight.
