Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has admitted that beating Tottenham gives him more satisfaction than any other side ahead of the north London derby.

The Gunners entertain Mauricio Pochettino's team on Sunday afternoon and have an opportunity to extend the five-point lead they currently boast over their rivals in the Premier League table.

The French centre back missed the midweek defeat to Bayern Munich with a hip injury and Arsene Wenger has revealed the 30-year-old only has an 80% chance of being fit for the clash with Spurs.

But Koscielny is adamant that he will take pleasure in claiming all three points against Tottenham if he does return to fitness as emerging victorious against Spurs gives him a great deal of satisfaction.

"For Arsenal, it's Tottenham because it’s a special day. You can feel it all week. You can feel the atmosphere every day and on the day of the match you feel the pressure," he told The Gooner fanzine.

Koscielny is not concerned about Arsenal's performance and is willing to endure a poor display as long as it is he and his teammates that come out on top when the final whistle is blown.

"You don’t want to play well, you just want to win. The derby is for winning and I think I have some good results against Tottenham and it was a pleasure."

Wenger could be without up to 10 first-team players due to injury for Sunday's game and Gabriel is expected to deputise for Koscielny alongside Per Mertesacker if the France international misses out.
