Tottenham are a 'top side' but their away form proves how tough Premier League has become, insists Sean Dyche

Burnley manager Sean Dyche says he is a fan of the way Tottenham "go about their business" ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash between the two sides.

Spurs occupy second place in the table and will be aiming to tighten their grip on a Champions League spot with victory at Turf Moor.

But the Clarets boast a stellar home record this term and have only lost to Swansea, Arsenal and Manchester City in front of their own fans.

Mauricio Pochettino has warned his players to be prepared to "fight for every ball" in Lancashire and Dyche is expecting a stern test, having lost 2-1 at White Hart Lane earlier this season.

“We know Spurs will be a tough game," Dyche told Burnley's official website.

"I just think they are one of the top sides in the division and I really like the way they go about their business.

“They can mix the game up and play with pace and pass through the units very quickly,” he added.

Burnley have received a flurry of plaudits for their home form this season, having picked up 29 of their 32 points at Turf Moor, but they are yet to win on their travels.

Tottenham's new stadium in numbers

Such problems away from home have restricted Burnley's progress but Dyche is adamant Tottenham's own record on the road - which equates to four wins from 13 games - proves how difficult England's top tier has become.

“It’s been five of the last six away from home, which is a tough task for anyone, so we are certainly looking forward to getting back to the Turf.

“Even if you look at Spurs, their away record is nowhere near their home record. It just goes to show that it’s tough on the road in the Premier League.

“A lot is made of our record, but even with a fine side they have still not got the wins on the table away from home.

"That gives us that little glimmer and we will take on the game as we always do," Dyche insisted.
