Mauricio Pochettino insists Toby Alderweireld is "fully committed" to Tottenham amid ongoing speculation over his future.
The defender's agent, Stijn Francis, this week urged Spurs to hand this client an improved deal or allow him to leave.
Alderweireld is currently paid £50,000-a-week and would be willing to sign an extension if his salary was brought in line with Tottenham's top earners Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris, who earn double the wage.
Pochettino sees no reason for Tottenham to panic over Alderweireld, who has a contract until 2019 but Spurs hold the option for a further year.
"He was talking with me in my office this morning and he's so happy, he wants to make it clear he is fully committed with the club," Pochettino told reporters.
"He's happy with his contract, two years plus one. It's not an issue. I recognise some rumours in the last few days. But he is so relaxed, so calm. His idea is to try to play here - he's happy here, there's no reason to move."
Another player whose future has been called into question is Vicent Janssen, whose role at Spurs has been further softened following the deadline day arrival of Fernando Llorente.
Janssen, who scored just one goal from open play in the Premier League last season, was then left out of Spurs' champions League squad.
"That is about numbers," Pochettino said of the squad selection. "We only have 17 places, we are 19, so him and [Erik] Lamela we decided [to leave out].
"But in January we check again to see if we change the names in the squad. But, yes, he has a future like other players here."
