Arsenal have released photos of deadline day signing Thomas Partey in club colours for the first time.

The Gunners sealed a £45m move for the midfielder last Monday with the Ghana international leaving Atletico Madrid to become Mikel Arteta's latest recruit at the Emirates.

Partey will wear No18 jersey, previously worn in the Premier League by Nacho Monreal, having been vacant since the Spaniard left the club.

New pictures show the midfielder in Arsenal's home and away jersey for the 2020-21 season.

Runar Alex Runarsson, another new signing in north London, believes Partey's arrival demonstrates the club's ambition to challenge for silverware again.

"We want to take part in all the major competitions, and not just take part but win," he said.

"To sign Thomas, it just shows the world what we are all about."
