Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes Theo Walcott may have found his "perfect" position on the pitch - that of the left side of the Gunners' attack.

Walcott has started the north Londoners' last two games on the left after shining in his preferred position up front earlier in the season.

The England international impressed in his new role against Manchester City on Monday night, however, and used the space he was afforded on the left to open up the scoring for the Gunners in superb fashion just after the half hour mark.

The goal took Walcott's tally this season in all competitions to five and Henry admitted after Arsenal's 2-1 victory against City the forward can flourish on the left side of attack with Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud playing alongside him.

Speaking about Walcott's goal, Henry told The Sun: "What a finish. That can be the future for him, playing from the left.

"It was a perfect Arsenal in a way. A year ago they would find themselves losing in the game."
