Theo Walcott is not concerned that with the quality of Arsenal’s performance in tonight’s North London derby and is solely focused on getting the win.

It has been a disastrous week for Arsene Wenger and his team, with a shock 2-1 upset against Dinamo Zagreb being followed up by a tetchy defeat against Chelsea.

Walcott himself seems to have found his form as Arsenal’s lead striker, impressing with goals against Stoke and Dinamo and giving Gary Cahill and Kurt Zouma plenty to think about early on in the London matchup on Saturday.

But the 26-year-old is not concerned with the manner of his performance tonight as Arsenal look to overcome two defeats in a row in one of the toughest ways possible, a visit to White Hart Lane.

“At times it doesn’t matter how you play in these matches, you just [need to] get the result,” Walcott told the club website. “People say the derby is now not as raw as it used to be, but trust me, a lot of the players know how big this is.

“Because it’s so loud at home and away, you just get a great buzz from it all. Any small error is picked up on straight away and you don’t want that to happen.

“When you score, the emotions come out and you can see the emotions, especially in these matches. It means so much and we want to celebrate with the fans. We’re going to be completely on it, we have to be, and hopefully beat them at their place.”

The Arsenal striker is no secret to the febrile atmosphere of a cup derby, playing a key role in his side’s 2-0 win over Spurs in early 2014 before being stretchered off with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament.
