Tottenham told to increase Tanguy Ndombele transfer bid as Lyon warn of rival offers

1/7

Tottenham have been told they must increase their offer for Tanguy Ndombele as Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas warned of rivals offers.

Standard Sport understands the midfielder is Tottenham's priority signing this summer, and Spurs remain confident of agreeing a fee with Aulas - a notoriously difficult negotiator.

Lyon are understood to be demanding in excess of £60million for the 22-year-old France international, and the clubs still someway apart in their valuations.

Ndombele has confirmed he is in no rush to decide his next move, though is expected to leave the Ligue 1 outfit, and revealed at the weekend that a move to Spurs is of interest.

However, Tottenham may fear competition from elsewhere after Aulas addressed the media on Tuesday.

"Nothing has been decided for Tanguy Ndombele," he told reporters.

"We have had a lot of offers but none of them meet my expectations."

Spurs are also tracking young Danish centre-back Joachim Andersen, who currently plies his trade for Sampdoria.
