A number of West Ham fans once again voiced their displeasure at their new London Stadium home as Slaven Bilic's side battled back to claim a 1-1 Premier League draw against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

The Hammers ended their 112-year stay at the Boleyn Ground this summer after securing status as main tenants at the London Stadium in Stratford, but the club have come under criticism from their supporters since the start of the 2016/17 campaign.

West Ham co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold have promised improved segregation and stewarding at the London Stadium following crowd problems in recent matches, with an inadequate buffer zone between rival fans leading to clashes, complaints about stewarding and even fighting among home supporters.

There have also been complaints about the distance between the seats and the pitch in some sections of the ground, with some West Ham fans singing during Saturday's match: "We should have stayed at the Boleyn", and "Stratford's a s***hole, we want to go home."

However, fans wanting a swift return to the Boleyn will be disappointed given that demolition work has already begun at Upton Park, with sections of the stands being blown up while being used as the set for a new Hollywood movie Final Score.

Property developer Barratt London will now begin the process of knocking down the Boleyn Ground and turning it into 842 homes, including 211 affordable houses. Work is expected to take a number of months.
