Steve Morison knows the score

11 April 2012

Steve Morison, once rejected by Northampton, made it 16 goals in just 39 appearances this season as his double put the cap on Millwall's 4-0 crushing of play-off rivals Charlton.

But then Morison loves a big occasion for after being forced out to the non-League he scored in winning FA Trophy finals for Stevenage Borough.

In the summer he accepted Millwall boss Kenny Jackett's invitation to join for what now looks a bargain £130,000.

Morison had already scored twice at Charlton in the 4-4 draw and his two in the midweek win at Carlisle gave him four in two games.

But the striker vows to hit 20 for the season, saying: "I've not failed to score 20 plus goals in the past five or six seasons at different levels."

Jackett said: "It's a really good period for Steve."
