Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has brushed off speculation linking him with a move to Monaco.
The 26-year-old is rumoured to be on the big-spending Ligue 1 side’s wish-list after Victor Valdes opted to stay at Barcelona, but Lloris has no intention of returning to France yet.
“What's
happening in Monaco is good for Ligue 1 and for this great French club, because
PSG need a challenger,” he told le10sport.
"But personally, I left to go abroad, to try and build something on a
personal and sporting level and I don't intend to come back soon."
Lloris also suggested he would find it hard to move to Monaco after starting his professional career at neighbours Nice.
“And then there is another thing - I am too much of a Nice man to go there!,” he said.
