Spurs and Arsenal target Alvaro Vadillo will stay with us, insist Betis

Real Betis sporting director Vlada Stosic has warned Arsenal and Tottenham off his young winger Alvaro Vadillo.

The 20-year-old has been touted as a potential replacement for Gareth Bale, should the Welshman’s move to Real Madrid materialise, but Arsenal are also said to be sniffing.

Vadillo was scouted by the north London clubs during Real Betis’ recent pre-season tour of England, but the clubs chasing his signature are reportedly priced out by the €20 million buyout clause.

And Stosic has insisted the player will not leave unless their valuation is met: "I've heard no offers for Vadillo. I want him with us. Unless someone comes and pays the clause or something that is very close to the clause, he will stay."

The Betis chief will be desperate to keep hold of his young starlet as they travel to the Bernabeu to face Carlo Ancelotti’s men on the opening day of their La Liga campaign on Sunday.
