Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is convinced star players are clamouring to be part of his Manchester United revolution.

The Norwegian plans to strengthen his squad over the next two transfer windows, with Jadon Sancho and Erling Braut Haaland among his leading targets.

Midfielder Saul Niguez is also on his wanted list - and Solskjaer is adamant his newly-resurgent team is a major draw to players around the world.

Back-to-back wins against Tottenham and Manchester City have lifted the mood at Old Trafford and serve as endorsement of the cultural reset Solskjaer is overseeing.

Sky pundit Jamie Carragher claimed the 2-1 win at the Etihad on Saturday included the best 30 minutes he’s seen from any side against Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions in recent years.

It is all far removed from the uncertainty that has shrouded United over the past 12 months, with some agents said to be wary about placing their clients at Old Trafford, due to the ongoing upheaval since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

But Solskjaer insists there are no shortage of targets ready to buy into the project he’s undertaken.

“You say agents don’t want to put their players here,” he said. “I’m sure players would want to be here.

“I don’t speak to too many agents to be fair. I think Man United is the biggest and the best club in the world and I’m sure there are so many players out there that want to be part of the rebuild of Man United.

“Results and performances (count). We want to play a type of football that our fans enjoy, that our players enjoy and maybe some opposition players would like to be part of as well.”

United’s hierarchy has assured Solskjaer he will be given the funds to complete his overhaul, even after a troubled campaign, which saw the club equal their worst start since 1988.
