Slaven Bilic: I don't know what West Ham could have done to stop Manchester United bus attack

Slaven Bilic13 May 2016

As for what happened to the Manchester United team bus before the match, of course I condemn that sort of behaviour.

Sadly it took the edge off the evening.

I was surprised that it happened in England but the people had been drinking.

It does happen in a lot of other countries but in this case I believe it was more about organisation.

People behave differently in a big group, rather than when they are isolated.

It is not my job but I know that, when I went to watch Arsenal at the Emirates, the roads around the stadium were closed.

On Tuesday you knew it was going to be very busy. When we were approaching the stadium, we were stuck for a time, the road was completely blocked.

I don’t know what we, as a club, could have done. Tell the people who don’t have a ticket not to come? They would come, anyway.
