Sion vs Liverpool team news: Coutinho on the bench as Henderson returns

Returning: Philippe Coutinho was named among the substitutes

Returning midfielder Philippe Coutinho was named among Liverpool's substitutes as Jurgen Klopp made six changes for the Europa League encounter with FC Sion.

The Brazilian recovered from a hamstring injury in time to travel with the squad to their final group match in Sion after missing the club's last four matches, but only makes the bench.

Meanwhile, Jordan Henderson, who was an unused substitute for the defeat to Newcastle, returns to Klopp's first team for the first time since recovering from injury.

Kolo Toure, Brad Smith, Emre Can, Adam Lallana and Divock Origi also return to the line-up.

The Reds will top Group B if they avoid defeat in Switzerland, but Klopp has urged his side not to expect a repeat of October's 1-1 draw at Anfield.

Ahead of the game, the Liverpol boss said: "Sion are a good counter-attack team, [they have] a good idea of the game.

"It is two-and-a half-months since our last game against Sion. Watching the last three games [of an opponent] is more important than our last game against them. Things are different for both teams.

"We are absolutely prepared. We want to be first in the table."

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Lovren, Smith, Henderson, Milner, Can, Lallana, Firmino, Origi.

Subs: Bogdan, Randall, Skrtel, Rossiter, Brannagan, Coutinho, Benteke.
