Uefa has “reaffirmed its commitment in placing safety and security at the centre of its organisational plans for Euro 2016” in the wake of yesterday's attacks in Brussels.

Two explosions claimed the lives of at least 34 people in the Belgian capital on Tuesday morning, which has sparked fears this summer's international tournament could be targeted in France.

Football was caught up in the recent Paris attacks when Les Bleus' friendly against Germany at the Stade de France was targeted by suicide bombers in November and the latest disturbing scenes have thrust security back into the spotlight.

France international Laurent Koscielny has insisted he does not fear for his safety when he represents his country but Uefa executive committee vice-president Giancarlo Abete has not ruled out the prospect of staging games behind closed doors.

Wales manager Chris Coleman is adamant the tournament, which starts on June 19, should go ahead as planned.

"It's what everybody wants. It's what the people want and we should make sure that happens.

"We've all got to go there and try to enjoy the tournament, try to entertain everybody that's going there as best we can."

But what do you think? Should the tournament go ahead this summer? Have you say in Standard Sport's poll below:
