Rubin Kazan 3 West Ham 0: Slaven Bilic's side hammered in pre-season

West Ham fell to a disappointing 3-0 loss against Rubin Kazan in their second game within 24 hours.

Slaven Bilic’s side drew 2-2 against FC Slovacko on Tuesday, but were hammered by Russian Premier League side Kazan on Wednesday evening.

Havard Nordtveit and Aaron Cresswell started for Bilic, and the Hammers could have taken the lead through Enner Valencia in the opening exchanges.

However, the east London club were made to pay as Marko Devic and Maxime Lestienne - capitalising on a poor Declan Rice backpass - gave Kazan a two-goal cushion by the break.

Kazan defended well following the interval as the Hammers tried and failed to find a way back into the game, and it was the Russians who got on the scoresheet again.

Gukdeniz Karadeniz netted Kazan's third to leave the Hammers still searching for their first win of the tour, with Karlsruher SC up next on Saturday.
