Roy Keane names Tottenham as biggest threat to Man City and Liverpool as Arsenal and Chelsea snubbed

Tottenham are the biggest threat to Premier League champions Manchester City and last season's runners-up Liverpool, according to Roy Keane.

Spurs have embarked on a big summer spending spree as Antonio Conte looks to build on an impressive end to last term, which saw them pip rivals Arsenal to fourth place.

Tottenham have signed the likes of Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison and Djed Spence to strengthen a squad which will be looking to fight on four fronts.

Despite the likes of Arsenal also heavily spending, it is Spurs who Keane is backing to be the 'best of the rest' behind City and Liverpool, with the Gunners and Chelsea not mentioned.

"I look around the Premier League and Tottenham are the one team that will think they can get in the mix this season, but Liverpool and City are a class apart," Keane said during ITV's coverage of the Community Shield, which saw Liverpool beat City.

"We saw what they are all about again in this game. The passing and movement was top class and even though Klopp said they weren’t at their best, I thought this was a great game between two outstanding teams. They will be one and two in the Premier League again this season and it’s just a case of what order they will be in.

"Spurs might be closest to them this year, but Manchester United? I just don’t see it. I hope they prove me wrong, but they don’t look good enough for me."
