Giuseppe Muro12 August 2014

Hodgson says he has made a decision on who will replace Steven Gerrard following his retirement from international football. The England manager will name Gerrard’s successor ahead of next month’s friendly with Norway.

Asked if he knew who the next captain will be and whether the player had been informed, Hodgson said today: “Yes to the first part and no to the second.”
