Romelu Lukaku's agent Mino Raiola has revealed the striker will put pen to paper on a new contract at Everton despite interest from his former club Chelsea.

Lukaku currently leads the goalscoring charts in the Premier League with 16 strikes and four assists after netting four times in Everton's 6-3 thrashing of Bournemouth last weekend.

Such was the Belgium international's showing in the match that Koeman admitted he hopes the Toffees' improved form of late will lead to Lukaku extending his deal past 2019, which is when his current deal at Everton expires.

Standard Sport understands that Chelsea, who Lukaku left for Everton permanently in the summer of 2014, are interested in re-signing the striker as coach Antonio Conte looks to strengthen his attacking options.

But the Blues have seemingly been dealt a blow in their pursuit of the £75m-rated Lukaku, with his agent saying the Belgian is set to extend his deal at Goodison Park.

"There are no problems right now between the player and the club," Raiola told talkSPORT.

"Talks are ongoing. He will sign."
