Riise: Spurs will be tired

John Arne Riise believes Tottenham might be suffering from fatigue ahead of Sunday’s game against Fulham.

Andre Villas-Boas’s side were taken into extra-time by Inter last night in their Europa League defeat in Milan, which was their fourth game in 12 days, and only arrived back in London this morning.

In contrast, Martin Jol’s Fulham, who were beaten 3-0 by Spurs at Craven Cottage in December, have enjoyed a two-week break since their last Premier League fixture and are refreshed ahead of the trip to White Hart Lane.

“They have a heavy schedule right now as they are playing in the Europa League so hopefully they will be a bit tired,” said Fulham defender Riise (above). “Whereas we will have had a free weekend.

“But it is one of the toughest matches because of the way Tottenham play and they have been in good shape.”
