Vinicius Junior and Dani Carvajal have admitted to difficulties in Real Madrid's return to training this week.

Los Blancos were back at their Valdebebas base on Monday after almost two months of inactivity due to coronavirus and government regulations mean they are still only allowed to train individually.

"We're working on a little of everything: gym, ball, mobility," Vinicius told the club's official media channels. "It's a big step for us. We have to feel the ball. It's been some time since we played and were all together.

"The most important thing is to enjoy the moment, although it's a bit strange. Training is difficult and it's a little bit like when you are coming back from an injury."

And Carvajal said: "The first day, it was hard to control the ball. At home, you can't train like you can on the pitch, but we'll go little by little.

"We have to follow the protocol laid out by LaLiga, be careful and respectful with the rules and try to build up our rhythm, with and without the ball."

The right-back also welcomed the return to action in Germany, with the Bundesliga back this weekend ahead of LaLiga's planned restart next month.

"It's good news for sport and for the football world," he said. "We are expectant to see how it is at the beginning. I hope it all goes well and serves as an example to the rest of the countries."
