Real Madrid star Eden Hazard believes he can be fit in time for the club's next game as LaLiga gets back underway next month.

Hazard has endured a difficult debut season at the Santiago Bernabeu, making just 15 appearances so far in all competitions.

The Belgian was expected to miss the remainder of the campaign after suffering a fresh ankle injury in only his second match back in February following three months on the sidelines.

However, he has recovered well after surgery and the extended break due to the coronavirus pandemic means he is now in contention to feature again this term.

"I feel really good to be back on the pitch working with my team-mates," Hazard told Real Madrid TV. "Now we have to wait until the games arrive, but I'm very happy.

"After two months out, I need more physical work and more ball work. I just want to be ready for the next game."

Real Madrid are now back in group training after the players were only able to work individually last week due to government restrictions.

"The sessions are better now," Hazard said. "We can train as we like to. The first week was a little strange, but now we can train in groups again and also with the goals.

"We just want to be together and try to work as a group."
