Rangers will kick-off the 2020-21 Scottish Premiership season with an away trip to face Aberdeen on August 1.

Rangers have not won Scotland’s top flight for a decade, and Steven Gerrard will hoping to end Celtic’s dominance of the division by pushing Neil Lennon’s side all the way this time.

The first meeting of the Old Firm rivals will take place on October 17 at Celtic Park.

Celtic were crowned 2019-20 champions following the curtailment of the season in May, much to anger of Hearts in particular who were relegated to the Scottish Championship as a result.

Rangers called for an investigation into the decision to end the league due to the coronavirus pandemic, writing a letter to Uefa accusing the league of trying to influence clubs ahead of the vote.
