Danny Welbeck has said his summer move to Arsenal is the reason behind his impressive form for England

The 24-year-old leads the European qualifying scoring charts with six goals and took his overall international tally to 14 with the second in England's 4-0 win over Lithuania on Friday.

Welbeck is on course to make his most Premier League starts in one season after swapping Manchester United for the Emirates last summer and believes more minutes on the pitch is helping his game.

“When you are playing regularly, you feel a lot sharper on the pitch", he said.

"Once you play regularly, it just becomes second nature to do things on the pitch. I feel match-sharp and that is important.”

He suffered the injury during Friday's qualifier, and was immediately replaced by Arsenal teammate Theo Walcott in the 77th minute.
