Esteban Granero could be in line for a return to the Premier League with Swansea City.

The 26-year-old had told QPR in February that he would honour his four-year contract and help guide Rangers back to the top tier, but reversed that decision in May.

And Granero’s agent, Carlo Cutropia, has confirmed that Swansea are in talks with QPR over his potential switch to the Liberty Stadium.

The midfielder is reportedly keen to team up with former manager Michael Laudrup, following a stint under the Dane’s stewardship at Getafe.

"The two clubs are talking about a transfer, it's true," said Cutropia.

"Michael Laudrup knows him very well from their time at Getafe, where together they had a great UEFA Cup campaign.

"Swansea are also looking at many Spanish players and play in Europe next year, [so] the destination would be absolutely acceptable to Esteban."

Granero joined Queen’s Park Rangers from Real Madrid last summer.

The Spaniard made 27 appearances for the Hoops last season, scoring a solitary goal away at West Brom.
