Harry Redknapp has failed in a second bid for West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie.

The 31-year-old (above) has indicated his desire to move to Loftus Road during the current transfer window and had a transfer request rejected by Albion last Friday.

Rangers and boss Redknapp had an initial £2million bid turned down at the start of the January window, and it was confirmed by the midlands club today a second offer has also been rejected.

West Brom's sporting and technical director (designate) Richard Garlick said: "QPR have made a second, improved offer for Peter, which we have turned down.

"As we have repeatedly stated, we have no need or desire to sell our core players."
