Ian Holloway suffered his second consecutive defeat as QPR manager as his 10 men slipped to a 2-0 home defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

James Perch’s first-half red card, earned on 35 minutes after two careless challenges in the space of a few minutes earned him a pair of yellows, left the hosts fighting an uphill battle and Wolves were to make their numerical supremacy count in the second half.

On the hour Dave Edwards was on hand to smash home after fine work by Dominic Iorfa down the right flank, his sliding cutback teeing up the midfielder to open the scoring.

Wolves winger Helder Costa soon doubled the visitors lead as he cut infield, moving past three QPR defenders before driving low past Alex Smithies.

A fine save by Smithies denied Jon Dadi Bodvarsson the chance to secure victory on 88 minutes and Joel Lynch provided late drama when he smashed home from close range after Jack Robinson's long throw.

He could have had another in the seven minutes of added time but miscued a left-footed volley whilst Karl Henry's last second shot was blocked inside the area.

Defeat leaves Holloway with one win from the first three games of his return to Loftus Road and sees QPR remain in 15th place in the Championship table.
