Neymar does himself few favours with his on-field antics, but the Paris Saint-Germain star responded in brilliant fashion after opposition fans hung a banner accusing him of being a 'crybaby'.

French champions PSG travelled to Nimes on Saturday for their Ligue 1 clash, and Brazil star Neymar opened the scoring with a close-range finish after 36 minutes.

Neymar came in for ridicule from across the footballing world over the last season, with fans particularly critical of the Brazil captain's theatrical falls during the Selecao's unsuccessful 2018 World Cup campaign in Russia.

After spotting a banner among the Nimes supporters which accused him of being a "crybaby", Neymar duly ran over and shed some pantomime tears in front of the fans before retreating to a safe distance with his team-mates.

There drama was not finished there though: Angel Di Maria put PSG 2-0 before half-time, but Nimes hit back to go level with 19 minutes on the clock.

Kylian Mbappe duly put PSG back in front with 13 minutes to go before Edinson Cavani notched the fourth in the second minute of injury time, but there was still time for Mbappe to be sent off for a late shove.
