Slaven Bilic says West Ham cannot beat the feeling of defeating one of their rivals under the lights at the London Stadium.

The Hammers secured their Premier League status and all-but ended Tottenham's title hopes with a 1-0 victory on Friday night.

Spurs dominated possession but Manuel Lanzini's strike was enough for the east Londoners to secure all three points in front of a delighted home crowd.

The Hammers' new home was rocking at full time and Bilic has saluted his players for producing one of their best performances of the campaign on such a crucial night.

"We deserved to win and we had a gameplan," insisted Bilic.

"That game we lost 3-2 at White Hart Lane - we wanted to repeat it because we were really good in that game.

"Everything looks good on paper but the way we done it was magnificent. It was a great team display.

"To beat a team like Spurs you need more than that. Especially when you do it in such an important game for us and for them.

"Friday night and 60,000 fans under the lights - you can't beat that feeling. It was a great night for us.

"This is a great stadium - I never said that it isn't," the Croatian added.

"Long term it's the best thing West Ham have ever done. But you need time to adjust and maybe we still need time."
