Tottenham's new XI: How Mauricio Pochettino’s side could line up for the rest of the 2017-18 season

Tottenham's conservative start to the transfer window finished with a late flourish with five signings in the final week.

The acquisition of Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain was greeted with mixed opinions due to his controversial past off the field, but on it, few were complaining.

At £23million the Ivorian right back is arguably an upgrade on Kyle Walker, who joined Manchester City for £50m.

Colombian Davinson Sanchez was another arrival, with the centre-back joining from Dutch side Ajax for upwards of £40m.

Additional defensive cover was sought through young Argentine Juan Foyth, though the 19-year-old is unlikely to trouble the first team in what will be his first campaign in European football.

Elsewhere, goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga arrived from Southampton as back-up to Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm, while Spanish striker Fernando Llorente arrived from Swansea to provide additional cover to star man Harry Kane along with Vincent Janssen.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino maintained interest in Ross Barkley, but the club were unwilling to meet Everton’s asking price.
