Premier League Team of the Year 2017/18: Mohamed Salah Liverpool's only representative as Manchester City and Tottenham dominate

1/11

Despite their stunning season, Liverpool have been left with Mohamed Salah as their only representative in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year, while Manchester City and Tottenham have dominated.

Spurs trio Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen have all been named in the side, while Pep Guardiola’s side unsurprisingly have five players.

Former Spurs full-back Kyle Walker is joined by Sergio Aguero, David Silva, Kevin de Bruyne and Nicolas Otamendi in the side voted for by their peers.

Defending Premier League champions Chelsea have just the one representative, as Marcos Alonso is named at left-back whilst Golden Boot and Player of the Year contender Salah is the only one flying the Anfield flag with Roberto Firmino snubbed.

For the fourth year in a row, Manchester United’s David de Gea takes the No.1 shirt, though no other United players make the cut this year.

The PFA Player of the Year award, closely contested between De Bruyne and Salah will be announced on Sunday.
