Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has hit out at the club after they released a statement concerning his future.

The Bundesliga club told supporters last week: "[Mats] Hummels has informed us of his wish to leave the club in the summer and he wants to join league rivals Bayern Munich."

Hummels' current Dortmund deal expires in 2017 but the defender has been linked with a move away from Signal Iduna Park since last summer.

The 27-year-old has reportedly been the subject of interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City and last month told reporters his future was uncertain amid a desire to win more titles.

Bayern Munich subsequently confirmed they had held talks with Hummels but chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge refused to elaborate further on discussions.

Hummels has since critisiced Dortmund's statement and simultaneously delivered a boost for Premier League clubs chasing his signature by implying nothing has been agreed with Bayern Munich.

In footage caught by a supporter and uploaded to social media, Hummels said: "Everything is possible and nothing is decided yet.
