Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was sent off against Crystal Palace after a VAR review saw the Arsenal striker's initial yellow card upgraded to red.

Aubameyang was initially booked for a high challenge on Max Meyer.

The German winger had got away from the Gabonese when he was taken down and although Aubameyang was originally only booked by referee Paul Tierney, VAR intervened the Gunners were reduced to 10 men.

The dismissal means Aubameyang will serve a three-game suspension, ruling him out of League games against Sheffield United (January 18), Chelsea (January 21) and the FA Cup trip to Bournemouth (January 27).
