Watford defender Nyron Nosworthy is nearing full fitness after eight months out with an Achilles injury.

Nosworthy (above) has been sidelined since March but made his comeback for the reserves on Tuesday and has targeted a return to Gianfranco Zola’s side.

“I feel good and I am getting closer now,” he said. “The more minutes the better for me. It has been hard to come back, I have had to be patient and work hard in training.

“It was nice to play again on Tuesday and the sooner I can get back the better. The boss knows my pedigree.”

Watford host Bolton tomorrow, having slipped outside the play-off places following four games without a win.
