Chelsea defender Papy Djilobodji has admitted that he is unsure what lies in store for him when his loan deal at Werder Bremen expires.
The Senagelese international was a surprise arrival at Stamford Bridge on deadline day in September, with then-manager Jose Mourinho making clear that Djilobodji had not been one of his signings.
That was reflected in a first half of the season in which Djilobodji made just one substitute appearance in the League Cup.
Since moving to the Bundesliga on loan the 27-year-old has been hugely impressive in Werder’s battle to move clear of the drop zone, appearing in a run of five games in which Bremen have lost just once.
With the Chelsea hierarchy still to decide over a new manager, and John Terry’s future at the club in doubt, Djilobodji has admitted he does not know what the offseason will bring.
"I do not know what will happen in the summer," Djilobodji told Bild. "For the moment, I play for Werder. I only concentrate on this task.
"There are still four months remaining. We will work to remain in the league over the next few months. Then I go on holiday and then we will see."

With Djilobodji having made such a strong impression in Bremen the club’s CEO, Thomas Eichin, has made clear his club would be keen to bring him back on loan.
Eichin said: "If Chelsea want to sell him, we'd be without a chance, but should they want to get him more playing time first, we'd be in the mix."
