Arsenal fans celebrated St. Totteringham's Day on Monday as their win over Hull City confirmed that north London rivals Tottenham can no longer mathematically catch Arsene Wenger's side in the Premier League table this season.
Spurs have not finished above the Gunners since the 1994-95 season and despite Mauricio Pochettino's best efforts during his first season in the White Hart Lane dugout, Arsenal's victory at Hull ensured it is now two decades since Tottenham finished higher than their bitter rivals.
Alexis Sanchez took his tally for the season to 24 with a goal either side of Aaron Ramsey's strike just after the half-hour mark as the Gunners showed impressive interplay at the KC Stadium.
Stephen Quinn pulled one back to give relegation-threatened Hull hope, but Arsenal saw the game out to spark St. Totteringham's Day celebrations on the full-time whistle.
