On the mend striker Glenn Murray named in Crystal Palace's 25 man squad

Glenn Murray has been included in Crystal Palace’s 25-man squad named for the remainder of the season.

Striker Murray, who suffered a serious knee injury during Palace’s successful play-off campaign last season, is back in training and would give manager Tony Pulis another valuable attacking option as he works to keep the team in the Premier League.

The club has named three goalkeepers in the 25 — Julian Speroni, Neil Alexander plus transfer window signing from Wolves, Wayne Hennessey — but there is still no room for midfielder Owen Garvan, who was also left out of the squad named by Pulis’s predecessor, Ian Holloway, at the beginning of the season.
