Nwankwo Kanu backs himself to score a hat-trick in Arsenal Legends charity match against AC Milan

Former Arsenal striker Nwankwo Kanu has backed himself to score a hat-trick in today’s charity match at the Emirates.

An Arsenal Legends side take on Milan Glorie – formed of AC Milan counterparts –in aid of the Arsenal Foundation, with Arsene Wenger and Fabio Capello coaching the respective sides.

Alongside Kanu, Arsenal will call on the likes of Robert Pires, Marc Overmars, David Seaman and Freddie Ljunberg, while Milan will have the likes of Paolo Maldini, Edgar Davids, Marcel Desailly and Zvonimir Boban in their side.

And during a Q&A on Twitter ahead of the game, the former Arsenal striker backed himself to bag a treble in this afternoon’s charity.

“It’s all about having fun for a good cause,” said Kanu. “That said, I reckon I could score three goals!”
