Dimitar Berbatov could not recover from a groin injury in time to line up for Fulham as they travelled to Norwich looking to move themselves out of the Barclays Premier League relegation zone.

The forward missed the 4-2 defeat to Manchester City and was again forced to sit out the game at Carrow Road as manager Rene Meulensteen made five changes.

David Stockdale came in for Maarten Stekelenberg in goal as the Dutchman was not risked after hurting an ankle in training whilst Fernando Amorebieta, Damien Duff, Pajtim Kasami and Alexander Kacaniklic all came in to Fulham's side with Philippe Senderos, John Arne Riise, Giorgis Karagounis and Ashkan Dejagah missing out.

Meanwhile, Norwich boss Chris Hughton named the same starting XI that drew 0-0 at Sunderland last weekend, with record singing Ricky van Wolfswinkel still only fit enough for a place on the bench.

Norwich: Ruddy; Whittaker, Turner, Bassong, Olsson; Snodgrass, Fer, Johnson, Redmond; Elmander, Hooper.

Fulham: Stockdale; Riether, Hughes, Amorebieta, Richardson; Sidwell, Parker, Kasami; Duff, Taarabt, Kacaniklic
