Nicolas Jackson’s agent hints at imminent decision as Chelsea open talks with £30m striker

Chelsea target Nicolas Jackson is set to make a decision on his future imminently, according to his agent.

Standard Sportbroke the news on the Blues’ £30million talks to sign the Senegalese forward, 21, in their bid to freshen up their attack ahead of new manager Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival.

After a move to the Premier League broke down in January, reportedly to Bournemouth, Jackson ended the season in fine form and is now deemed a genuine option at Stamford Bridge compared to the likes of Victor Osimhen, who would cost north of £100m.

The Villarreal player’s agent, Diomansy Kamara, has confirmed that offers are on the table for his signature with a decision coming “shortly”.

“We know his qualities but he must continue working,” he told WiwSport via Marca. “Now, we will see what will happen this summer.

“We know that there are many possibilities that he could go to another club.

“He would have liked to join the Premier League, but it did not happen. And then he went back to work and exploded even more at Villarreal.

“They’re a club we have good relations with. They opened the door for Nicolas and allowed him to grow. We will never forget that.

“But if both parties can win, bringing money into Villarreal and a new project for us, we are not going to close the door.

“Now we have offers on the table. We are in the process of evaluating them and, shortly, you will have news regarding their situation.”
