Neymar has reportedly hired UFC fighter Nordine Taleb as a personal bodyguard following his world-record move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Having become the world's most expensive ever player - and dwarfing his nearest rivals' price tags in the process - the Brazilian is keen to protect the £198million goods with some extra muscle.

Taleb, known to MMA and UFC fans, is a welterweight contender who last fought in May, beating Olivier Enkamp in his rival's home country of Sweden.

The 36-year-old Frenchman has six knockouts and seven decision victories, losing just four times.

Neymar made his debut for PSG at the weekend, marking the occasion with a goal and an assist to be named man of the match in a 3-0 win over Guingamp.

Off the field, however, Neymar has kept a low profile. The Brazilian has been pictured with the six-foot-one-inch fighter during his time off.

Neymar is next in action on Sunday as he makes his home debut for PSG when Toulouse come to the capital.
