New Chelsea kit: Blues unveil official third strip ahead of 2016/17 season

Chelsea fans need wait no longer to see what kind of third kit the club will have for the 2016/17 season after it was unveiled on Friday morning.

The Blues released a picture on social media of defender Gary Cahill and midfieders Nemanja Matic and Oscar wearing the sleek, white kit which features dark blue Adidas lines, a blue club logo and the Yokohama Tyres sponsor on the front of the top.

The shorts are also white and have a blue Chelsea logo on the right leg and blue Adidas lines down the side. The third kit will be available to buy from 1 August, and will be worn by the players in their Premier League clash against Watford at Vicarage Road on 20 August.

The release means Chelsea fans can now choose from three different strips ahead of the 2016/17 season after the Blues unveiled their new home kit in May and followed it up with the release of their away strip in July.

Chelsea signed a 10-year deal with kit supplier Adidas in 2013 but, earlier this year, announced they had agreed to end their contract with the sports brand six years early to sign a new deal with a rival company.
