Netherlands vs Italy lineups: Predicted XIs, confirmed team news, injury latest for Nations League match

Netherlands and Italy are both pondering changes in attack for Sunday's Nations League third-place playoff.

Cody Gakpo, of Liverpool, started against Croatia but failed to impress with a number of misses and even conceded a penalty. With Memphis Depay out, Wout Weghorst or Steven Bergwijn could come in.

Ronald Koeman should make a few changes given it's a wooden spoon match, so the likes of Sven Botman or Jurrien Timble could be afforded a start.

Roberto Mancini should also switch things up, and Ciro Immobile will likely make way for Mateo Retegui to be handed a start.

Further back, midfielder Davide Frattesti is a doubt with a knee injury and defender Alessandro Bastoni is hoping to shake off an illness to feature.

Predicted lineups

Netherlands XI: Bijlow; Dumfries, Van Dijk, Botman, Malacia; De Roon, De Jong; Bergwijn, Koopmeiners, Simons; Weghorst

Italy XI: Donnarumma; Darmian, Toloi, Acerbi, Dimarco; Barella, Verratti, Pellegrini; Zaniolo, Retegui, Raspadori
