Borussia Dortmund chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke locked himself in a Bernabeu toilet for the final minutes of last night’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

The Germans conceded two late goals but hung on for a 4-3 aggregate win and a place in the final at Wembley.

Director of sport Michael Zorc also admitted he struggled to cope with the nail-biting finish, saying: “We have earned ourselves a huge reputation in Europe. In the last minutes I was close to a heart attack. But when there is a positive outcome, it was all good.”
